
Memorial services for Mahonna Lee Clanton, 67, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Robert L. Gribble officiating. Mrs. Clanton died Thursday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Clanton was born December 5, 1949 in Morenci, Arizona to George Pinkston and June Giddens Pinkston. In 1957, she moved to Rogers and graduated from Rogers High School in 1968. She married Eddie Clanton on February 8, 1972, and the couple settled in Temple. He preceded her in death March 4, 2015. She worked as Court Administrator and Associate Judge for the City of Hutto for fifteen years before retiring in 2012. She loved her time in Hutto and maintained many close friendships there until her death. Mrs. Clanton was preceded in death by one son Jason Clanton. She is survived by two sons Kenny Henderson and his girlfriend Shawn Wiley of Temple and Justin York and his husband Paul York of Jarrell; two sisters Theresa Tompkinson of Tucson, Arizona and Anna Knight of Euless; three grandchildren Zach and his girlfriend Bayley, Hailee and Kendra and one great granddaughter Rayna; cousin Becky Smith and best friend Georgia Ann Pearson.
