Marie Herrick, age 88, of Temple died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in a local hospital. Services and burial will be held at a later date. Mrs. Herrick was born on December 25, 1921 in Thendara, New York to Joseph and Grace (Hamblin) Jenkins. She was reared and educated in Poland, New York. She married Jack Herrick on August 23, 1947. He preceded her in death in March, 2000. They were residents of Tampa, Florida for 25 years and had lived in Temple for the past 16 years. She was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church in Temple. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, David Herrick in 1973. Survivors include one son, Robert S. Herrick and wife, Judy of Temple, two grandchildren, Christopher Herrick and wife, Amanda of Tyler, Stephen Herrick of Temple and one great-granddaughter, Abby Cortez-Herrick of Temple. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Park United Methodist Church.
