Marie J. Riley

Marie J. Riley, 87, of Temple died Friday, December 10th, in a local hospital. A private memorial service will be held. Marie was born on January 7, 1923, to Joseph and Josephine Gauthier in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. She was one of nine children. Before moving to Georgetown, Texas 21 years ago, she lived in West Springfield, Massachusetts where she raised her daughters, Jean and Patti. Marie was a much loved and admired mother, caring daughter and cherished sister. She was a long time parishioner of St. Helen's in Georgetown. Survivors include two daughters, Jean A. Riley of Temple; Patricia K.Riley and son-in-law Dan Levine of Leland, North Carolina; one sister, Edwina Plasse of Agawam, Massachusetts; three brothers, Lee Gauthier of Centreville, Maryland, Joseph Gauthier of Granger, Texas and Roy Gauthier of Georgetown, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Beatrice Cadieux and three brothers, Edward, Maurice and Lawrence Gauthier.
