Marie Reeves

Marie Reeves, age 95, of Temple died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in a local nursing center. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 15 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Reeves was born on August 17, 1914 in Oregon. She was a longtime resident of Knox City and had lived in Temple for the past nine years. She married Max Wynn Reeves in 1927 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was a Baptist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Maxine Marie Reeves, one son, Dudley Joe Reeves, one brother and four sisters. Survivors include one son, Hayden E. Reeves and wife, Shirley A. of Temple, one sister, Nina Flatten of Milo, Missouri, three grandchildren, Brenda Sue Parker and husband, Dale of Temple, Rena Marie Pylant and husband, Ed of Cedar Park, Douglas Wynn Reeves and wife, Tasha of Lewisville, three great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
