Graveside memorial services for Marshall Edward Lamar, 80, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday March 19, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Loyd Hall officiating. Mr. Lamar died Wednesday March 7, 2018 at a Temple hospital. Mr. Lamar was born in Temple, November 18, 1937 to A.E. “Buck” Lamar and Vera Inez Robinson Lamar. He attended Heidenheimer and Academy Schools. He worked for Shallow Ford Construction for many years. He lived in the Heidenheimer and Temple area all of his life. Survivors include two sons Michael Lamar of Marquez and Joseph Lamar of Gatesville; two daughters Marsha Ann Schiller of Gatesville and Kay Cole of Gatesville, one brother Joe Lamar of Academy and one sister Linda Sitton of Hermann, Missouri. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
