Mary Florence Martin, 89, of Temple, died Monday, December 12, 2005, in a local Temple hospital. Services will be Monday, December 19, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Margaret Boles officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Martin was born in Moody, Texas to Arthur H. and Augusta Hill Carnes, Sr. She married J.P. Martin, Jr. and he preceded her in death April, 1976. She was employed by Scott & White Hospital for 47 years, having started in 1938. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Scott & White Pioneers. Survivors are 2 daughters, Mrs. William M. "Polly" Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mary Ann Gibson of Temple, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church 12 W.
