

Mary Frances Purcell Davis, age 82, of Temple, Texas, beloved wife and mother, passed away Saturday morning, March 22, 2014. Frances was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Norbert Ignatius and Naomi Irene Purcell. She grew up in Luling, Texas, moved to Houston where she married her husband John Thomas Davis. She and John lived and raised their children in Galveston, Dallas, Beaumont, Temple, and Austin. Frances is survived by her husband of fifty five years, John Thomas Davis, and her eight children, Gretchen Marie Fasulo and her husband John, Maria Teresa Hurd and her husband Michael, Brigid Marie Davis, Jane Frances Davis, Madeleine Colette Pena and her husband John, Mary Carmela Davis, John Thomas Davis, Jr. and his wife Jane Marie, and Stephen Francis Davis and his wife Shelly. Frances is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, Richard Fasulo and his wife Summer, Robert Fasulo and his wife Tricia, John Carlo Fasulo, Jr. and his wife Jordan, Heather Fasulo, Amy Fasulo, Elizabeth Anne Gouge and her husband Michael, Stephanie Fasulo, Nicholas Joseph Pena, Jacob Thomas Pena, Matthew Jonathan Pena, Ambrose Thomas Davis, Daniel Patrick Davis, Elizabeth Marie Davis, Joachim Joseph Davis, Margaret Mary Frances Davis, Benjamin Joseph Davis, and Rachel Fiona Davis; and five great grandchildren Tyler Scott Fasulo, Allison Marie Fasulo, Kaden Gage Fasulo, Luke Anthony Fasulo, and Emma Grace Gouge. She is survived by her brother-in-law William H. Alston, nephews, nieces and cousins. Frances is predeceased by her beloved sister Norma Irene Alston and brother Norbert I. Purcell. Visitation and rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Scanio Harper Funeral Home in Temple, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Temple, Texas with Rev. Ranjan Cletus as celebrant, with burial at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
