Mildred Payne

Funeral services for Mildred Marie Payne, 92, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne with Rev. Dale Wells officiating. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery. Mrs. Payne died Sunday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Payne was born September 27, 1919 in Dallas to Camillo Colonna and Rosalee Hamilton Colonna. She married Earl Edwin Payne. He preceded her in death in April, 1979. She lived in Hearne most of her life before moving to Temple four years ago. She worked at the school cafeteria in Hearne for many years and operated a Beauty Shop. She also volunteered at the Nursing Home in Hearne for many years. Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by one son Don Payne and two daughters Marie Miller and Peggy Biegel and one grandson Jeff Biegel. Survivors include one daughter Shirley Franklin of Rogers; one sister Mary Davis of Red Oak; six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
