

Nathan Scott Nabours, age 43 of Temple, passed away Friday, November, 10, 2017 due to complications of diabetes at his family home, where he spent his final years caring for his beloved grandmother. Nathan was born on October 28, 1974 in Odessa, Texas to Charles Stanley Nabours and Judy Wilson. He moved to Temple in 1976, attended schools in Temple and graduated from Temple High School and remained in Temple for the rest of his years. He worked for Lamar Outdoor Advertising, and loved everyone he had the pleasure of working with there. Nathan was the youngest of four boys and had two younger sisters. Nathan was known for his kind heart and warm smile. He was a selfless and giving man and devoted father who was always there with open arms and a shoulder to lean on. Survivors include his beloved children, Jonathan and Emily Nabours of Temple; his mother, Judy Wilson of Cameron; his grandmother, Ruby Davee of Temple; siblings, Dennis W. Hurley of Rogers, Ray Hurley of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry W. Hurley of Phoenix, Arizona, Amber Davison of New Braunfels, Texas and Kelli N. Woolsey of Castle Rock, Colorado; as well as his eleven nieces and nephews, Janis and Rebecca Hurley, Summer and Tricia Hurley, Austin and Ethan Hurley, Timothy and Tyler Schrock, Jacob Weaver, and Stephanie and Ashlyn Woolsey, who will all miss him dearly. Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Charles Stanley Nabours and his brother, Charles J. Nabours. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Road, Temple, Texas.
