Nelson Bernard Kasberg

Funeral services for Nelson B. Kasberg, 75, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mr. Kasberg died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Kasberg was born in Westphalia to Leo Kasberg and Lucy Kleypas Kasberg. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to Temple from Westphalia fifty years ago. He married Nell Morton Oct. 27, 1957. She preceded him in death September 20, 1964. He married Joyce Heffner April 15, 1966. She preceded him in death September 25, 1992. He was a homebuilder having been a partner in Kasberg Development. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kasberg was preceded in death by one brother Harold Ray Kasberg and two sisters Carol Marie Kasberg and Lucy Lee Hodges. Survivors include four sons Brian Heffner of Temple and Craig Heffner of Belton, Billy Kasberg of Austin and Ron Kasberg of Temple; two daughters Cindy Hoelscher of Westphalia and Lisa Korinek of Austin; three brothers Bob Kasberg, Gerald Kasberg and James Kasberg all of Temple; five sisters Leonette Entrop of Temple, Margie Stock of Bryan, Janice Wellen of Temple, Nelda Poncik of Academy and LaFon Eary of Temple and ten grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Hospice 2913 Williams Dr. #320 Georgetown, Texas 78628. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Monday with Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
