Nora Elizabeth Noel

Nora Elizabeth Noel, 58, of Temple died Wednesday at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Minister Loyd Hall officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Meridian Cemetery in Meridian, Texas. Nora was born August 4, 1955 in Bryan, Texas to Billie James and Lenora May Payne Wilson. She was a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a bachelor degree in teaching. Nora married Edwin D. Noel on June 14, 1980 in Edge, Texas. She taught in the Normangee ISD for three years and for the last 27 years has been an elementary teacher with the Belton Independent School District. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Temple. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Edwin D. Noel of Temple; two daughters, Melissa Baugh and husband Tracy of Belton and Karen Noel of Temple; two sisters, Kathy Young of Bartlett, Texas and Billie Schuh of Crockett, Texas; mother-in-law, Rachel Noel of Temple; four grandchildren, William Baugh, Evelyn Baugh, James Baugh, and Tracy Baugh, Jr. all of Belton. Memorials may be made to Peaceable Kingdom Children's Retreat.
