Peggy Blankenstein Fox

Peggy Blankenstein Fox, age 83 of Bryan formerly of Temple, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Isle at Watercrest in Bryan. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 11 at Bellwood Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Mrs. Fox was born June 16, 1931 in Temple to Henry and Mamie Rosener Blankenstein. She graduated from Temple High School in 1947 and attended Mary Hardin-Baylor. She was a lifelong resident of Temple until April of this year. She was employed as an administrative secretary at Scott & White Hospital for 15 years. She was a charter member of and served as the first secretary of St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple. She also served as president of the Benevolent, Patriotic Order of DOES #139 and was a member of several bridge groups. She married E. J. "Eddie" Fox on December 31, 1952, and they shared 50 happy years together before his death in 2003. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ross Frazer of College Station and granddaughters, Kelly and Carla Frazer.
