
Funeral services for Ruth Elaine Glover, 87, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Bobby Glover officiating. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery, with Military Honors. Mrs. Glover died Wednesday at her residence. Mrs. Glover was born in Hillsboro to Abner Bryant and Marcella Faulkner Bryant. She attended school in Hillsboro and attended Scott & White Nursing School in Temple, in 1944. She married Jimmy Floyd Glover Oct. 12, 1947. She served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force Nurse Corp. She was a member of Scott and White Alumni, AARP, permanent member of D.A.V., and a Charter member of "The Women's Memorial" in Washington, D.C. She worked as a registered nurse at the V.A. Hospital in Temple and then worked for Kings Daughters Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Floyd Glover December 15, 2001 and by a son Stephen Bryant Glover March 23, 2001. Survivors include two sons Mike Glover and his wife Linda of Los Angeles, California and David Glover and his wife Cathy of Leander; six grandchildren Michelle Marie Best and her husband Buddy of Temple, Lindsay Poole of St. Louis, Missouri, Casey Tessone and her husband Chris of Roundrock, Bryan Curtis Glover of Cedar Park, Michael Allen Glover of Boston, Mass., and Melonee Walker of San Antonio; six great grandchildren Matthew, Marc and Megan Sheppard of Temple, Hunter & Heather Creek of Roundrock and Cody Glover of Cedar Park. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Saturday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
