Steven Michael Richmond

Steven Michael Richmond, age 40, of Temple died Sunday, December 19, 2010 in a local hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 23, at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Rev. Don Loftin as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Richmond was born on November 16, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio to Jerry and Elizabeth (Betsy) Klaus Richmond. The family moved to Temple in 1974. He was 1989 graduate of Belton High School. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served in the Gulf War. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1996, he attended ITT Technical College in Austin where he graduated first in his class with an associates degree in Electronic Engineering. He was later employed at Cirrus Logic in Austin for five years and later with his father at Jerry's Radiator Shop in Belton. He married Silvia Saenz on September 29, 2002 in Temple. Steven was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church as well as the Marine Corps League, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and HOG (Horny Toad Chapter). Survivors include his wife, Silvia Richmond, a son, Joshua and a daughter, Isabella, his parents, Jerry and Betsy Richmond, a brother, Gerald Richmond and mother-in-law, Rosa E. Toruno all of Temple and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
