Tommy Joe Crawford, age 81 of Temple, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 in a local hospital. Services and burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Crawford was born April 12, 1933 in Quail, Texas to J. H. Crawford and Ruth Triplett Crawford. He was reared and educated in Allen, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Jonelyn Lynch on November 5, 1971 in Corpus Christi. He retired from Southwestern Oil and Refining Co. in 1984. He has been a resident of Temple for the past 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Jonelyn Crawford of Temple, one son, John Douglas Crawford and wife, Faye of Williamsburg, Missouri, two daughters, Pamela Dooms of Richmond, Virginia, and Ava Jo Webb and husband, Clay of New Iberia, Louisiana, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother, James H. Crawford and wife, Crystal of Cincinnati, Ohio.
