
Funeral services for Walter E. Pomykal, 81, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Temple Brethren Church with Dr. Mark Labaj and Rev. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Pomykal died Monday in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Pomykal was born in Lott to Joe V. Pomykal and Annie Doskocil Pomykal. He attended Thompson School. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Ella Orsag November 7, 1947. She preceded him in death February 3, 2006. He worked at a crew leader with WilsonArt, having retired in 1988, after 32 years of service. He was a member of Temple Brethren Church, where he was active in the Brotherhood and served on the Board of Deacons where it was the Financial Secretary. Mr. Pomykal was a member of SPJST Lodge #47 at Seaton, RVOS Lodge #1 and the Woodmen of the World Lodge #16 of Temple. Survivors include three daughters Joyce Skrabanek of Temple, Judy Pechal of Seaton and Janelle Novosad of Seaton; two sisters Lillian Hoff of Rosebud and Vallie Mae Hrachovy of Cameron and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Temple Brethren Church General Fund.
