Wilbur Gene Matous, age 67, of Temple died Monday, November 22, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Matous was born on August 16, 1943 in Bell County to William Joseph and Henrietta (Cabla) Matous. He retired from the U. S. Army as a Staff Sergeant after serving in the Gulf War. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include three sons, Donald Matous of Temple, Douglas Matous of Rosebud and Jeffery Matous of Temple and five grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Nora Alford and Henrietta Everett both of Temple and one brother, Ed Matous of Temple.
