

Wiley W. Dugger, Jr., age 73 of Temple, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at his residence from congestive heart failure. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 30, at First Baptist Church of Troy with Rev. Harlan Haines officiating. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, November 29, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Dugger was born September 23, 1940 in Temple to Wiley Wilson Dugger and Minnie Huckabee Dugger. He graduated from Temple High School in 1959 where he played football. He attended Texas A&M and graduated in 1963. As a young man, he was a member of the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve. He married Susan Etheridge on November 24, 1966. He worked as a marketing manager for Progressive Waste Solutions for seven years retiring in December, 2012. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Troy. He was on the Pendleton Water Board. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Susan Dugger of Temple, two sons, Jason Riley Dugger and wife, Stephanie of Abilene, Allen Scott Dugger and wife, Misti of Round Rock, one daughter, Tiffany Ruth Parrish and husband, Darrell of Temple and two grandchildren, Lindsey Dugger and Reina Heatley. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy.
