
Funeral services for William Dudley Watson, 70, of Rogers will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Rogers with Linvel Baker and Kendall Washington officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Mr. Watson died Wednesday in the Temple V.A. Hospital. Mr. Watson was born in Covington, Texas to Robert Watson and Lucille Gray Watson. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He married Beverly Nelson January 16, 1965. He graduated from the Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock. He served, as Minister, at Roseville Church of Christ in Roseville, Pennsylvania, Hillsboro Church of Christ, Osceola Church of Christ and Rogers Church of Christ. He was also a plumber having owned Hill Plumbing in Hillsboro for 15 years and he worked for Rogers Schools as a driver for Special Needs Students. He moved to Rogers, from Temple, in 2001.Mr. Watson was preceded in death by one brother Walter Watson. Survivors include his wife Beverly Watson of Rogers; one son Jeff Watson and his wife Kathy of Rogers; one daughter Lorie Fares and her husband Nash of Rogers, one brother J.B. Watson and his wife Dottie of Covington; one sister Betty Ballard and her husband Darrell of Covington; nine grandchildren Holly Hall and her husband Shawn, Clint Watson and his wife Courtney, Emily Evan and her husband Barrett, Ryan Fares and his wife Camryn, Kenny Watson, Chasity McDaniel, Cassidy McDaniel, Lillian Watson and Riley Fares; three great grandchildren Bryce Watson, Bailey Watson and Jaxton McDaniel. Memorials may be made to Rogers Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
