Graveside services for Wilma Louise Lewis, 90, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Rev Tom Popelka officiating. Mrs. Lewis died Monday in a Temple Living Center. Mrs. Lewis was born April 11, 1925 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma to George Alva Oslin and Maudie Lou Hutton Oslin. She married Bennie L. Lewis March 1, 1943. He preceded her in death May, 2010. Mrs. Lewis moved to Temple in 1952. She received her Master's Degree from Baylor University and taught at Temple College for thirty three years. She had been President of Central Texas Republican Women and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by one daughter Penne Lewis. Survivors include three sons Benny F. Lewis of Forney, Russell L. Lewis of Papillion, Nebraska and Lamar O. Lewis of Temple; one sister Sandra Bright of Killeen; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
