

Barbara Kulick of Manville, NJ passed away peacefully February 3, 2024 at home. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was joined in holy matrimony to Basil Kulick and together they established their lives in Manville, enjoying and being blessed with 63 years of marriage before Basil’s death in July of 2023.
Barbara and her husband built their life together in Manville, and truly worked as a devoted team throughout their marriage. Before retirement, Barbara worked for many years at Manville Savings and Loan, J.D. Wright Dentistry, and supported Kulick Plumbing and Heating performing bookkeeping and billing. Barbara was well-known by many in the Manville community and could be counted on to offer a kind word or a supportive ear to anyone who was in her company. While raising her family she gave time to local volunteer organizations including the Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader and volunteer. Barbara was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Manville, being an active participant in church services, serving as a Sunday school teacher and helping with church related activities. Above all, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. Barbara was most happy spending time with her family and never missed an opportunity to travel. Along with her husband she made some great memories traveling to Europe, the Holy Land, taking many cruises and exploring various parts of the US.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents William and Eva (Orischak) Sokola; her husband Basil; and son-in-law Fr. Michael Lewis.
Surviving Barbara are her children: Kyra Lewis, Mark Kulick (Barbara) and Larissa Mattei (Frank); Grandchildren: Anastasia Hudson (Greg), Katya Lewis, Mark Kulick, Jr., Alexander Kulick and Nicholas Mattei; great-grandchildren: Alyena Hudson, Blaise Hudson and Penelope Jane Kulick. Barbara is also survived by her sister Joan Austin (Thomas), and many much-loved nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Visitation will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Manville NJ on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 9:30-11AM with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 12:00PM at Fern Knoll Cemetery located in Dallas, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church or Holy Ghost Orthodox Church (both in Manville) or any charitable organization.
