Catherine Bruns

Catherine Bruns, 102, of Toms River passed away Friday April 6th, 2012 at Shorrock Gardens Nursing Home in Brick, NJ. Born in New York City she resided in the Bronx prior to moving to Toms River in 1974. She worked as a purchasing agent for Alexanders for over 25 years. Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband Edward in 1956, brother Alexander E. Eisinger and sister Mary Conley. Surviving are her daughter Rita and husband Warren Buckley of Manchester, NJ, 5 grandchildren John and Jean Buckley of Barnegat, Catherine and Ronald Rinehart of Port Charlotte, FL, Barbara Jean and Thomas Hansen of Toms River, Jo-Ann and Glenn Lykes of Howell and Kristen and Nicholas Caruso of Manahawkin and 12 great grandchildren Dana, Joseph, Kira, Katleyn, Corinne, Danielle, Christopher, Mary, Allison, Nicho, Christian and Chase. Visitation will be Tuesday April 10th, 2012 from 5-9pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday April 11th, 2012 at 9am at St. John’s Church in Lakehurst. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
