

Connie Zino, 87, of Toms River passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 23, 1922 to Vincent and Ruth (Piro) Monti, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Toms River 21 years ago.
Mrs. Zino was a secretary for the New York City Board of Education for 27 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary in Holiday Heights and the Italian American Club in the Silver Ridge section of Holiday City. Connie was a kind lady who was loved by many. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Mrs. Zino was predeceased by her sister, Lucille DeRosa and her brother, Nicholas Monti. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Felix Zino of Toms River. Her beloved children, Dominick Zino and his wife Ann of Parkland, FL and Barbara Zino and her husband Greg of Bayville. Her dear brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Rose Marie Monti of Toms River. She is also survived by her three loving grandchildren, Scott, David and Catherine.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2-4 & 2-9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30am at the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River. Interment will follow in the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in her name to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753.
