Doris M Smith

Doris M. Smith, 89, of Toms River passed away on Thursday September 11th, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Beach Haven, NJ and Belleville, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1987. Doris worked for Wagner Electric in Newark for many years and enjoyed traveling the World. She was very active with St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township and was also a Charter Member of the Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph and brother Robert Clark. Surviving are her children Joseph Jr. and wife Betty Smith of Pennsauken, NJ and Marilyn and husband Michael Gioia of Myrtle Beach, SC, grandchildren Christine and husband Andy Drake of Somerset, NJ, Lori Gioia, Stephen Smith, Jacqueline Smith, great grandchildren Timothy and Nicholas Drake, dear friends Margaret and John Budenas and their families and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday September 14th, 2014 from 2-6pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 15th, 2014 at 11:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township. Interment will be private.
