Dorothy Castellano

BERKELEY - Dorothy Castellano passed away peacefully at her home with her loving husband at her side on Monday, January 17, 2022. Born in Newark, she resided in Newark before moving to Ortley Beach, where she lived from 1964 to 2012. She loved living by the beach and settled in the Holiday City community of Berkeley 9 years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Rose Cerrato; her daughter, Linda Susan; her brother, Charles Cerrato; and her sister, Anita Maulano. Surviving are her loving husband of 75 years, Angelo; her daughter, Barbara Mazzola and her husband Albert; her grandchildren: Michael Mazzola and his wife Danielle, and Maria Hughes and her husband Stephen; and her great-grandchildren: Michael, Anthony, Daniela, Jenna, and Taylor. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 9:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. A burial of cremated remains will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Dorothy's name to: St. Jude's
