

Edward G. Corr, known as Eddy, age 79, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Eddy was born in Hoboken, NJ on August 23, 1945 as the son of the late George and Dorothy Corr. He was raised in North Bergen and had lived in West Milford on Greenwood Lake for many years prior to relocating to Toms River 8 years ago. Eddy retired from his position as a master automobile mechanic for Bergen County after 13 years of service. He had recently celebrated his 39th year of sobriety and was influential as a sponsor for many others through Alcoholics Anonymous Twelve Steps. Often found in the great outdoors, Eddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and boating, often with his dog Lady. Eddy is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Ursula; his two daughters, Debra Corr-Wolfe and her husband James of Phoenix, AZ and Jessica Corr of Boston, MA; a step-daughter, Sabrinia Wedderburn and her husband Brian of Marina, CA; a brother George Corr and his wife Sandy of West End, NC; four grandchildren, Morgan Bell, Arianna Bell, Ella Wedderburn, and Nathan Wedderburn; two nieces, Kate and Emily; and a great-niece Ellie. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. His memorial service to celebrate his life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
