Elizabeth "Betty" Kleinfeld

Elizabeth (Betty) Kleinfeld (nee Lynch), 95, of Toms River, NJ., passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, from the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River.

Born in Newark, NJ to Martin and Mary (O’Donnell) Lynch, Betty lived in Hillside, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1990 and lived in Boca Raton, FL during the winter months for the past 40 years. Betty was an elementary school teacher for the West Orange, NJ school district for 38 years, retiring in 1989. Betty attended Kean University receiving a bachelor’s degree in education and completed her Masters degree at the University of Wisconsin.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always had a positive, uplifting spirit that was inspiring to all who knew her. Betty led a very active lifestyle and enjoyed playing golf, bocci and bridge and painting.

Betty is predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel Kleinfeld and brothers, Martin, Francis and John Lynch. She is survived by her six loving nieces and nephews, Judy Nemerow, Kevin Lynch, Kathy Young, Cyndy Wynne, Michael Lynch and Diana Bock, two cousins, Michael and Keith Pecklers and eight great nieces and nephews.
