

Frances Tamborrino, 90, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. She was born on September 23, 1930 and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She was the daughter of Francis and Mary Somers.
She moved to Kenilworth, NJ after being married to Anthony Tamborrino in 1958. She and her husband both worked for Otis Elevator Company. Her only son Robert was born in 1964. Her family moved to Bloomington, IN in 1982 where she lived until her husband’s passing in 1997. She then moved to Toms River, NJ where she and her sisters took care of their mother until her passing. Frances remained in Toms River surrounded by her family until 2015, when her son and his wife relocated her to Redbud Hills Retirement Home in Bloomington, IN. Frances spent the remainder of her life in Bloomington, IN.
Frances was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Center in Bloomington, IN, and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River. Frances is survived by her only son Robert, his wife Wendy, and their three children Anthony, Gabriella, and Nicholas; her brother Frances (Buddy) and his wife Cheryl of Tampa, FL; nieces and nephews Kathleen Ragazzo (Rip and grand-nephew Anthony) of Toms River, James Amatel (Susan) of Toms River, Kevin Amatel (Lynda), Ken Conte (Tammy) of Nashua, NH, Bob Conte (Theresa) of Toms River, Mary Muglia (Pat) of South Plainfield, NJ, Scott Somers (Sandra) of Califon, NJ, and many in-laws and nieces and nephews on her husband’s side of the family. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony, her mother Mary Somers, her father Frances Somers, sister Kathleen Conte (Phil), sister Rosemary Slota (John), sister Margaret Amatel, and her nephew Charles R. Amatel.
Frances is under the care of Quinn Hopping Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ.
