

Francis J. “Frank” Stewart, 85, of Berkeley Twp., passed away on Saturday July 19th at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Wallington and Montclair before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2004. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a contract specialist for the MOTBY for many years retiring in 1989. He belonged to the VFW Post #2640 and Knights of Columbus in Wallington, AmVets Post #32 in Bayonne and the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1505.
Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years Kathryn James Stewart; his son David and Kathi Stewart of Glenwood, NJ; two daughters, Susan and Bob Taranto of Kennesaw, GA, Patricia and Bill Janesky of Mesa, AZ; five grandchildren, Christine, Lisa, Joseph, Erin and Kelly and his nephew Bob Stewart. He was predeceased by his brother George Stewart.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday July 24th from 4 to 8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe RCC on Friday July 25th at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery Wrightstown, NJ.
