

Harold William Goodlow, Sr., 80, of Beachwood, NJ passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on Tuesday October 28th, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born and raised in Jersey City with his siblings Christopher, Roger and Denise, he resided in Port Monmouth prior to moving to Beachwood in 1999. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He served proudly and honorably in the United States Marine Corp, the United States Army and New Jersey National Guard. His awards included the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, New Jersey National Guard Medal of Merit and New Jersey Medal of Honor. He proudly defended this nation during the Korean War and was a true patriot. Surviving are his sons Harold William Goodlow Jr. and wife Nancy of Brick and James Goodlow and wife Jayetta of Adams, NY, daughter Theresa Ninivaggi and husband Tom of Beachwood and grandchildren Michele, Megan, Jessica, Samantha, Kaitlyn and Emily. Visitation will be Sunday November 2nd, 2014 from 3-7pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Friends and family are invited to meet at St. Dominic R.C. Church located at 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ 08724 on Monday November 3rd, 2014 at 10am to celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation will be private.
