Born in Neptune, he grew up in Point Pleasant and Manasquan before settling in Forked River 27 years ago.
Prior to retiring about 5 years ago, he worked in sales and as a driver for Builders General in Toms River. More importantly, he is known for his work as a USSSA umpire, for which he is also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
If you knew Jazz, you most likely knew him for his beard, his VW bus, his love of softball, your favorite or least favorite umpire, looking like Santa Claus, his love for music, or simply being a great friend.
He was predeceased by his mother, Constance Hado; his father, James Brown; his sister-in-law, Victoria Smith; and his brother-in-law, Robert Newman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy Brown; his sons: Jason Brown and his wife Kaitty, and Justin Brown; his sister, Regina Newman; his mother-in-law, Margaret Novitch; his many nieces, nephews, and extended family; his loving neighbors; close friends; and his four-legged best friend, Titan.
Jazz also left behind a host of friends from all different circles. He impacted many people and made friends all around the world.
