John Gercon, 91, of Toms River passed away on Sunday August 4th, 2013. Born in Croatia, he resided in West New York and Fairview prior to moving to Toms River. John was a true craftsman, he was known as “Tabernacle John” for his artistic metal working abilities. He worked as a Boilermaker for Local 5 in New York for over 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife Anna and daughter Janet. Surviving are his son John T. and wife Pat Gercon of Belmont, CA, grandson Adam and wife Christie Gercon of New Hampshire, granddaughter Amy Gercon of Belmont, CA and great granddaughter Addison.
