Joseph S. Dorrick, age 86, of Toms River died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. He was a mechanic for Sayerville Chrysler Plymouth, Sayerville before retiring. Joseph was a World War II Veteran serving in the Navy. Born in Fords he lived in Carteret and Forked River before moving to Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irene in 1992. Surviving are his children, Albert of Lancaster, PA, Edward of Tuckerton and JoAnn Dorry of Freehold; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen, Brian, Matthew and Caitlin; 5 great grandchildren, Bryce, Molly, Samantha, Madison and Olivia; his sister, Eleanor Jevic of Voorhees. Our family would like to acknowledge Ms. Natalie Palmer, a good friend and companion who held a special place in dad's heart.
Visiting will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.quinn-hoppingfh.com.
