

Born in Brooklyn, he resided there for most of his life before moving to Staten Island. He settled in Manchester eight years ago.
Prior to retiring, he was a chef for many years, working with Al Italia Airlines and the United Nations International School, where he could express his love for cooking. Most recently, he was a salesman for Macy's Department Stores in Staten Island, where he worked for 10 years. Known for his beautiful personality and smile, he ensured he always looked his best, from his hair to his attire. An incredible storyteller and a great host, Joseph made everyone feel comfortable and loved. A devoted husband, father, papa, and brother, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Joan; his children: Denise Darconte and her husband Joe, and Eddie Tumbarello and his wife Natalie; two grandchildren: Jessica and Samantha; his siblings: Linda Castelfranco, and Mary Jane Gonzalez and her husband Jorge; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1-4PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A funeral service will be held in conjunction with the visitation at 3:30pm. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's name to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org.
