

Lorraine Brick passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Wall on February 24, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 7, 1937, to the late James and Wanda Oziemblo O’Brien, Lorraine was born and raised in Jersey City before settling in Avenel where she raised her four children.
A caring mother, devoted grandmother, loyal friend, and the true matriarch of her family, Lorraine had an open heart and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She found her greatest joy in time spent with family and close friends and was always ready to help others, offering warmth, strength, and steady support. Despite life’s challenges, Lorraine met each one with resilience, grace, and a genuine love for people.
Lorraine worked at Siemens for 25 years before retiring and later moved to Toms River, where she spent many happy years with her husband, Charles.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert McCarthy, the father of her four children; her late husband, Charles G. Brick; her daughter, Linda McCarthy Dair; and her brother, James J. O’Brien.
She is survived by her three children: Eileen Watts, Robert McCarthy (and Elaine McCarthy), and Thomas McCarthy; as well as her stepdaughter, Lynn Radzinski (and her husband, Peter).
Lorraine was a loving and proud grandmother to Robert, Nicholas, Breanne, Kayla, Jesse, Joseph, Lee, and Gavin, and an exceptional great-grandmother to Dariana, Rylee, Ryana, Nicholas, Keenan, Emilia, Andrew, Meadow, and Mason.
Viewing will be held Sunday, March 1, from 2–5 p.m. at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 2, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08747.
Entombment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067.
