Lourdes "LuLu" Vargas

Lourdes Garcia Vargas, 62 years old of Toms River, NJ joined her Heavenly Father on September 11th, 2023. She went peacefully with her family by her side. Lulu was born to the late Diodor and Frances Boncodin Garcia and is survived by her loving husband Conrado “Jun”, daughter Jenn, son in law John, her “apo” Madison and siblings Minetta, Gilda, Diodor Jr., Fermin, Gener, Angeline and all of her nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Lulu was also surrounded by her siblings, nieces, nephews, family and friends in the days prior to her passing and was able to feel the love from each and every one of them. She was a strong woman of faith and a prayer warrior throughout her time on earth, with a legacy that she will leave to all of those she has touched.

She graduated from the University of Santo Thomas in the Philippines and then immigrated to the states after her studies. The years before she retired, she thrived as an OR Nurse at Community Medical Center and had a close group of colleagues that she also called friends. She was one of the founding members of Jesus is Lord Fellowship and also served as an elder and usher there for several years.

She will be remembered for her interceding heart, prayer warrior spirit, passion for gardening, joy of k dramas, and her love for traveling, which she shared with her husband Jun, close family and her church cell group.

There will be opportunities to say a final farewell on Thursday, September 14th from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or Jesus Is Lord Fellowship Church of Toms River, NJ.
