Lucy Spinelli, beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on July 20, 1925, Lucy lived a long and full life defined by devotion to her family, enduring love, and simple joys that brought her happiness each day.

Lucy was the cherished wife of her late husband, Arnold Spinelli, with whom she shared an extraordinary 73 years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, loyalty, and unwavering commitment.

She leaves behind her loving sons, Anthony Spinelli and Arnold Spinelli; her daughter-in-law, Donna. Lucy was a proud and devoted grandmother to Daniel, his wife Sarah, Matthew, his wife Rachel, Jessica, her husband Jack, and Hope, and a treasured great-grandmother to Owen, Sloane, Mia, and Ariana.

Family was the center of Lucy’s world. She gave her love freely and abundantly, and nothing brought her greater joy than time spent with those she held dear. Her presence was a constant source of warmth, strength, and comfort to all who knew her.

Lucy also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an enthusiastic and dedicated mahjong player, enjoying her weekly games right up until her passing. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, she rarely missed a chance to cheer on her team, sharing that passion with family and friends over the years.

Lucy’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and deep family bonds. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday March 26, 2026 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.
