Margaret M. Flynn

Peggy (nee McGovern) Flynn was a registered nurse for more than 30 years, trained at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York, she was always proud to be a “St. Vinnie’s Girl”. Born in the Bronx and Raised in Pearl River, NY, Peggy spent time in Greece and in California before settling back in NJ, where she met and married her husband Thomas (Tom) Flynn. Peggy lived with a strong Catholic faith and always tried to put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed skiing and travel, loved cooking and sharing a meal with her family and friends.

Loved by her extended family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins, Peggy was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (McNeill) McGovern and is survived by her husband Tom, her siblings Ann McGovern and Eileen McGovern of Nanuet, NY, John McGovern of North Hills, CA and Kathleen Elar of Front Royal, VA.

Visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road in Toms River beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 30th, followed at 11:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ
