

Mrs. Margaret Ann "Peggy" Pikor (Goodwin), 73, of Whiting, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at the Van Dycke Hospice & Palliative Care Center located at Community Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Born in Neptune, Mrs. Pikor had resided in Denville, NJ and Kissimmee, FL before moving to Whiting 11 years ago. She graduated from Montclair State College with a degree in Math Education. She was a middle school math teacher for 11 years in West Orange prior to becoming an office manager and small business owner; in addition she was a devoted wife and mother.
Daughter of James and Margaret Goodwin, she is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ron; two sons, TJ of Agoura Hills, CA and Jeff of Denville; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Luke, Liamm, Elena and Rebecca; and her twin brother, James Goodwin of Orlando, FL.
A faithful member of St. Mary's Parish, Denville for more than 25 years, she proudly founded a children's nursery there in the 1980's. She was an avid collector of penguin-themed memorabilia and was a gifted and prolific knitter.
Viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at St. Barnabas Church, Bayville.
