Maria Claudio, 87, passed away on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Molftetta, Italy, in 1937 and immigrated to Hoboken in 1956. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband, Corrado, in 2021. Maria Claudio was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and adored great-grandmother. Maria was the beloved wife of Corrado Claudio for 65 wonderful years—a one-of-a-kind love story that began in Italy in 1956 with a whirlwind 45-day romance that blossomed into a beautiful legacy of four children, Dominico and his wife Nancy, Marianna and her husband John, Carmela and her husband Walter and Nancy and her partner Bill. She leaves behind her loving 13 grandchildren and their significant others: John (Beth), Michael (Tiffany), Joseph (Jordyn), Bryan (Inbal), Vincent (Sarah), Christopher (Alyssa), Steven (Heather), David (Olivia), Nicole (Mark), Eric (Megan), Victoria (Theo), Jessica (Jonah), and Emma. She adored her great-grandchildren: Parker, Scarlett, MJ, Everett, Addyson, Hazel, Calvin, Sivan, Archie, Maia, Itai, Rhea, Mia, and Eleanor, all 14 and counting…….Maria’s love language was food, and she expressed her deep devotion to the family through every lovingly prepared meal. No gathering was ever too small, and no stomach was ever left empty in her presence. She made sure of it, always offering more with a warm, knowing smile and her famous, “What, you no like?” Maria’s love, laughter, and generous spirit will be forever missed but never forgotten. Her family finds comfort in the traditions she created and the memories she leaves behind, each one a reminder of her unwavering love and the incredible life she lived. They will continue those traditions with their families as well. Maria’s life will be celebrated at Quinn Hopping's funeral, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a woman whose heart and kitchen were always open. In lieu of flowers, donations to Villa Marie Claire Hospice Center in Upper Saddle River, NJ, would be greatly appreciated, and cook a meal for someone you love—just as Maria would have done.
