Mary my Love, January 7th, 2026, marks 4 years since you passed. I had a surgery on my left foot on 12/8/25 and still in the cast. hard to visit you and Sal. Driving is ok, getting out of the car and onto the kneeler is challenging.  The cast was supposed to come off on December 31st New Years Eve, but the doctor's office called, and he had an emergency so was rescheduled for today. The stitches are in a month now, hope they come out easy. I had a surgery on my right ankle last December. Everyone has a Bucket list, mine is a surgery list. Story of my life. Terry called and wanted to visit you today, but it was a last second thing and I wasn't able to take her. She wants to go with me. She will try again towards the end of the week. I will be down for a visit after I'm finished with the doctor. Super lonely here without you and Hunter, I think of You and Sal every day, miss you both very much. Love Vinny

Its Christmas 2025, our 4th apart. Ed text me and said he was home in bed sick, so not going anywhere.  I hope he feels better soon. I took a drive up North to pick up my Cookies from Court Pastry in Brooklyn.  Alf still makes the trip for everyone. The price goes up every year. I stayed in the car, and they brought the package done too me. Last year I had surgery on my right ankle and this year it was the left. Still in the cast and I am on the knee Rover again. It will be another couple of weeks before I can get into the Air Boot and start PT. Seems all I hear about is a bucket list, mine seems to be a surgery bucket list. Hello Honey, It's April 16th, 2025.  Just wanted to stop in and wish you a Happy Birthday in Heaven.  It's 1195 days since you passed, would have been 69 years old today. I had Pat's Landscaping here in the morning. They removed all of the purple rock from the side of the house and put down new weed barrier. They also put a new weed barrier down in the back where we made our island, got tired of putting black mulch down and cleaning out all of the weed that grew on top of that. They put down 3 and 1/2 tons of white rock in both sides of the house and in the island and added to the stone in the front of the house. It looks really beautiful. I'm sure you would love it. The only thing missing is you by my side to enjoy it. Not a day goes by without me thinking of you and missing you. Well, got to go, Love you so very much. Your husband Vinny😘🧡💔. My dearest Mary, the calendar marks another year without you, the weight of your absence feels as heavy as it did the day you left. I remember the day we met like it was yesterday the way your eyes sparkled under the summer Sun, and the connection we felt from the very first conversation. Good morning, Mary, it's December 25th, 2024, our third Christmas apart. very lonely in the house without you especially at night. I sit here and try to imagine how we would be if you were able to have the surgery, but it wasn't in God's plan for us.  I was supposed to have a back surgery, but my right ankle gave out. so that came first. Had broken screws removed, a ligament repaired, and they chopped out my ankle and popped in a new shiny metal joint. It was supposed been done September third, but the insurance company denied the claim. It took three months to get the go head and was done December third. It's sore but bearable but can't walk. On a knee scooter. Alina has been driving me to all the doctor's appointment, I love her for that. Well, that's it for now, hope to be able to visit you and Sal soon. Love you. Vinny

July 10th, 2024. Its 7:45 am, Sunny at 81 as of this writing, going into the 90's. The day we married a long time ago.  I remember that day, it was super-hot. We went to the Townhall and there was a phone booth in the building. We were there early and both of us went into the booth because there was an over fan that helped cool us down. It's strange how our minds remember little things like that. One thing I will never forget is the Love we shared for each other, Its now 915 days without you, yes still keeping count. To my Beautiful Wife on our Anniversary. My Heart still hurts in sadness, my silent tears are still there. No one knows what it meant to lose you. I get silent thoughts, a secret tear and those keep your memory near to me. Death leaves a broken heart that no one can heal, and Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Good morning my Love. Its 1 am on the 12th of May, Mother's Day. It's been pretty cold for this time of year. Today will be a high of 54 and going down to 39 at night. There was supposed to be a rare occurrence of the Northern Lights between 10 pm and 1 am, but of course it was cloudy and couldn't see anything. Thats the way it goes, I guess. Hello Sweetheart, it’s 7am on April 16, 2024. This is of course your birthday, would have been 68 today. We stopped celebrating birthdays years ago, but we still exchanged cards and wished each other a Happy Birthday. I can’t give you a card anymore, and I used to make you one and place it in your flowers. The cemetery put up a note saying no cards. I guess others just leave it there and never pick it up. I have gained some weight and feel and heavy. It hurts my joints and my back. So, diet time again. It’s a never-ending cycle. Well at least the warm weather is on its way, felt good today at 82 here. Rest of the week will be in the high 50’s to low 60’s. Our well was opened the other day and will start watering the lawn. Our friend the deer did a job on our trees in the yard, so have to invest in Liquid fence again. We have Hugh herds this year. At any giving time 20 to 25 deer are in the back eating away, just part of nature. The Red Breasted Robins and Blue Jays are out already and beautiful. You always loved sitting outside and looking at the garden you always made. I haven’t planted anything since you passed but was thinking about putting something out this year. I had the Van washed today and of course it rained, it always worked that way with me. That’s about it for now, Love you and greatly miss you, Husband Vinny. This is your third Birthday with God.

Hello Mary, had to stop in and write a short note. Its Sunday March 31st at 8:02 am. Easter Sunday, our third one apart. Today makes 814 days, 116 weeks, 26 months since you passed. Yes, I still keep track. You know, I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you and now I realize that you spent the rest of your life with me. I don't know why you were taken away from me and I got to stay here. I have to trust that's the way God wanted it to be. I keep very busy during the day, but the nights still bother me a lot. Edward had some medical problems but seems to be pulling through. But then again, I'm sure you know that. Time for me to go, lots to do. Going to stop in a pay you and Sal a visit. My Dearest Mary. Today marks the second anniversary of your passing. It’s a sad day for me. When we were together, we counted the years we were married, called our anniversary. Strange how now I count the days, weeks, months and years we are apart. I'm now a widower and hate the title. I remember yesterday all too well, you were here with me, and we believed that is the way it will always be.
In my mind, I find it hard to accept that day two years ago, A day I will never forget. It really doesn’t matter how long ago it was. A day, month or even years. To me it will always seem like it was just Yesterday.

Monday December 25th at 8:30am. Having coffee sitting at the computer as I type this. The house is super quiet this morning, the only sound is the water running through the heating system. Time flies by now, over 4 months that Hunter passed away. Sure miss him a lot. Your gone 717 days and this is our second Christmas apart. Merry Christmas with God Sweetheart. I have been keeping myself busy with the house, trying to do all the thing that we planned, I had to upgrade the main bathroom, the tiles had separated from the wall and finally fell off, That was gutted and completely redone. Today is our Anniversary. 07/10/2023 at 6:40 am. It was a very special day a long time ago and will always remain very special for me. It still feels like yesterday.

I long for the Love and closeness we shared and properly will never have that again. No two people are alike, A neighbor told me that when we married, I taught That I had a Gem but got nothing. You were the Diamond in my heart and will always keep it right there. I keep myself busy during the day, but the nights are so very lonely. I don't think it will ever be the same.  I had the garage treatment done and it dresses up the front nicely, it cost three times the price quoted 3 years ago. Hunter had 2 visits to emergency Vet in Tinton Falls, he is loaded up with medication and dopey. Everything happens on a weekend when our Vet isn't open. Hello Sweetheart, It's 12:07 am on Monday April 10th. Yesterday was Easter Sunday your 2nd in Heaven without me. I visited you at the Cemetery as usual and was surprised that it was empty. It doesn't matter, I had a nice visit with you. I was invited up north by my sister to spend Easter with them. They very really spend time as a family as the kids are grown and going to school and working. I declined the offer and asked them to have a quality day with their children. Instead, I spent Easter with a good friend. Together we did something that I will never forget. And honored she asked me to help her. It was sad for me, stirred up some memories of us, but at the same time Was glad I was able to get through it. So, it was a very nice and eventful day for both of us. I miss you terribly, what we had was so very special. I love you Mary, and goodnight. Vinny😍

           Hello Sweetheart, Its Saint Patrick's Day Friday March 17th at 8:14 am. Today makes. 434 days, 62 weeks, 14 months since God took you. Time flies, but I guess my mind can't keep up with it. If I talk to someone, the conversation always turns to you. It's funny and also sad, I mostly hang out with people who have been through Hospice, at the Cemetery and with some of our neighbors. For me anyway, it is something that I will never forget. I still don't sleep much, get a cat nap every once in a while. I went to BJS and bought sliced corn beef and the lacy Swiss cheese. I was going to try and make a corn beef brisket, but would have been a waste, can't eat all of it. So, I will make our corn beef Rubin and celebrate by myself. I have no problem with that, I'm, with Hunter and you in my heart and in my mind. Spring is coming soon, the grass is turning green already and it's time for the first application of weed and crabgrass preventer, I should knock that out tomorrow. I'm still struggling to keep the house clean, just no ambition to do so. I'm back up to the weight I was before you went in the Hospital on October of 21. Boy its tough on the joints. I still visit every day. I missed 3 days, once a bad snowfall and the other 2 days the locks malfunctioned at the cemetery. Quite a few were upset about the locks, they had traveled a long distance for the visit. Things happen that we have no control of.  Our photo books is mostly done, quite a few pictures. I still have to get the pictures off our phones and add them. I will be down to see it like I always do, love you, and miss you still so very much. Your Husband Vinny.

Hello Mary, my Love.  It's Valentines Day Tuesday February 14th at 8:03 am. I haven't written in a while; said I would stop on the 12th of January. Why that day, you passed on the 7th but was entombed with Sal on the January 12/2022. It's been a mild January and February has been warm. You can't tell that by the amount of the gas bill. I used a third less gas than last year and it was a bigger bill this year that's for sure. I still come down to see you every day, well missed 2 days the door was locked. It seems the locks are magnetic and work on timers. the system had problems but was told it is fixed now, it locks and unlocks at the time they set. I found your Yogurt recipe and made it, I surprised myself and worked out great. I just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day. This was the first Holiday apart last year, and the toughest for me. Like my friend Joe at the cemetery always says, Time doesn't heal, it makes it worse, but makes it easier to endure, I guess for him and myself its true, Will be down to visit you later as always. Hello Sweetheart. Thursday January 12th at 8:05 am. This date last year was the last showing. It was very rough for me; Sal was placed in the Gasket with you and the Casket was sealed. We had the procession to our Church with a stop at our home. Father Steven performed the mass, and then we went to the Cemetery. The last prayers were said in the Chapel and then the American Flag was draped over your Casket. Taps was played by the Military personal and then the flag was folded and presented to me. We all went out for a bite to eat after woods, and it was over. When I got home the realization of everything kicked in, you were gone forever. The only positive about this whole thing is Sal was at is final resting place with you. Me, I was left with Memories in my mind, pictures and a broken Heart. This will be my last post for a while. I think I aired enough Laundry on this site, I do want to say one thing before I leave today. What the Obituary said is true. I have one surviving son and 1 Granddaughter. So, I will leave that right there. To those who read all of my rants, I know there wasn't to many who did. I thank you; it helped me immensely to keep this. I'll call it my Journal. Today is Wednesday January 11th at 7:18 am. Hello my Angel. on this date last year, was the Wake for you. It was a Tuesday I had to be there at 3:15 pm and had time by myself with you before everyone came at 4 pm. You were beautiful. Quinn-Hopping did a fantastic job preparing you. My family and your family attended of course, Most people had covid and were recovering from it. Another day ends. Tuesday January 10th at 9:55 pm. Didn't do much today, just some laundry. Tomorrow, I get a haircut, miss you doing that for me. No body cut my bald head like you did. You cut it with love. Now I have to pay someone to cut my hair. The last time I had my hair cut I asked what the price was. I then asked if it was a two-minute haircut, or a twenty-minute haircut would the price be the same. I was told of course. and said give me the two-minute haircut. Good morning my Love. It's Tuesday January 10th at 8:05 am. The Comforter I bought at Wally World is actually very nice, Its dark Gray on one side and light gray on the other. I tossed Hunter's blanket in the trash and have the old down comforter in the wash. He will love it. Or maybe he just loves our bed. I guess I should sleep on the floor and let him have the bed. Mary my Angel, Monday night January 9th at 9:20 pm. I found a gray comforter in Walmart for a cheap price. It is what we had, just wanted new protection from the dog. The blanket on his bed is shot, so will wash this one and put it on his bed. While the new one looks good an protects the White blanket under it. I received the new sheets from My Pillow. and printed on the package made in Pakistan. All is advertisements state Made right here in my hometown in the USA. Can't believe anyone anymore. I guess it is better than made in China and has a 10-year warranty. So that's ok. Other than that. just another lonely boring day. Well, let you go for now, love you Sweetheart and goodnight. Vinny


Hi Sweetheart, It's Monday the 9th of January at 8:08 am. A little rain with Hunters walk, but wasn't enough to prevent him from doing is duty. It was chilly at 37 degrees, and by Friday should be in the high 50's. I know you would love this; Keven McCarthy finally took the Speaker of the house position after 5 days and i believe 15 rounds of voting.  I'm glad that he took the gavel. The president visited El Paso Texas at the border for the first time. They cleaned up the streets and removed all of the tents set up all over the place for his arrival. I guess they had to prop the place. Out of coffee and will have a light breakfast, see you later on. Love Vinny

Hello my Love, It's Sunday January 8th at 10:39 pm. A long day, with a lot of driving around. I look online and find a gray down comforter and shoot out to the store any they are out. Then I would ask the salesperson if they indeed have the item and they would say no of course. I would then show them their site on my phone where it said in stock. I get the same stupid answer, the site isn't updated as often as it should be. If I do find 1 in solid gray, it's made in China, of course. Well anyway, had a nice quite visit with you today and even stopped at Walmart and bought a package of hostess cupcakes. I sat down on the couch in the living room for the first time since October 13th of 2021 and watched a movie. It felt weird watching a movie without you in there. We used to make some cheese and crackers with green olives and have a glass of wine and watch something together. I miss that. Time for me to hit the bed as they say, I love you and goodnight. Hi Mom I can't believe that it's been a year without you. I miss you so very much. It's been a long rough year and I find myself talking to you about the days goings-on and I have your mass card with your picture right above the couch so you and I could watch the news together. I miss being able to talk with you everyday about your garden and cooking and baking, and your different activities that you were doing like ceramics and such and talking about the estate sales and when it was nice out you would go for a ride on your bicycle . I know Dad misses you tremendously and I do as well no matter what happened you always had the right words to make things better . I love you and miss you tremendously. I pray everyday day that I could be even remotely close to being an amazing wife to Eddie like you were for Dad and a great mother like you were to Eddie and Sal. Dad if you do read this please know that I love you tremendously and I think of you very often. You are a hard man to get hold of and Charlie, Eddie, and I love you more than you could ever know. Good Morning My Love. Sunday January 8th at 8:10 am. The Sun is out bright with a cold 28 degrees. It was a rough 2 months, It's something how the mind works. Yesterday after Terry left, I went to Shoprite and forgot all the stuff I had to get. I remembered as I walked around the store. The point Is, I had trouble with something as simple as that but remember everything that happened the last 2 months a year ago. This would be the second day at Quinn-Hopping, You passed at 4:27 am on the 7th. You were picked up at 8 am, and Dave from Quinn-Hopping instructed me on what to do. and all the arrangements were made in 1 day. The burial site the casket was picked up, Flowers were ordered, Funeral Cards, even the dinner after woods. They guided me and handled everything. Very professional and caring people, The only thing I had left to do was upload pictures to the site by the 10th of January, the first viewing was on the 11th. That was quite a task because all of the pictures were stuck in the old-style photo albums. I tend to think that God planned it that way, just to keep me busy and my mind on completing the task. I Had to scrape off most of the pictures with a butter knife. I bought 7 photo books that hold 400 photos each. Then bought a couple hundred different sizes and put those in. Hello Sweetheart, It's Saturday night the 7th of January at 9:40 pm. A long day, Terry stopped by, and we both went to visit you. She met three of my friends at the cemetery. She took a lot of pictures of the place and will show your family. It was nice to see her, we went to Wendys for a bite and had a cup of coffee. She left just before nightfall but got home ok. I ran out to Shoprite and picked up a couple of things, mainly sweet potato for Hunter. Miss you and Love You terribly. Going to bed so Good Night, Sweetheart.

Saturday January 7th 7:52 am. It is 1 year today that God took you. This is also the last of the firsts. Everyone seems to say that all the firsts are the hardest. You know, first Christmas, New Years and so on. All of the special dates that we shared together, Birthdays, our Anniversary, our children's birthdays and even the anniversary of our youngest son Salvatore who God took early.  Time will heal that's what everyone said. To tell you the truth every day that I wake up is a first for me. I think my friend Joe at the cemetery hit it right on the nose. He was married the year I was born, He said time doesn't heal it makes it worse but makes it easier to endure. How can you ever forget someone you Loved so much, you can't. The hardest for me is at night, I wake up constantly in a panic to check on you, make sure that you are ok with the oxygen, only to find out that you're not there. For the first couple of months, I could swear I was able to smell your presence, but that stopped after a while. For now, I will have to put one foot in front of the other and march on as they say. Mary my Angel, another day gone by. Friday January 6th at 9:25 pm. It was mostly a quiet day. I visited you as always and washed up some bedding. I slept for about 2 hours this afternoon and woke up to give Hunter his dinner at 3:30 pm. I must have a built-in clock, because lately I've been doing that a lot. Hi Sweetheart, it 9:15 pm on January 5th. Not much to talk about. The oil change this morning took about an hour, they put in an air and cabin air filters, so the total bill was 254.00 dollars. I chuckled a little and said OK. Lots of money for an hour's work. That's how it is when going to a dealer. That's why my shop was super busy, we gave quality service at a fair price. Dealers are always higher. I'm going to try and get some sleep. Love you Mary and good night. Vinny

Good morning Sweetheart, it's Thursday January  5th at 8:23 am. Took Hunter out for his walk, had a quick cup of coffee and now at the Chrysler dealer having the van serviced. It shouldn't take long but last time it was an hour. When I worked, we had the customer out in 20 minutes. They have to safety check every car. They said I need tires, but I will wait for awhile. They have coffee, so helped myself to a cup. Not the greatest. but ok. Will be down to see you later as usual. Love you, Vinny

Hello Mary, the start of another day. January 4th at 8:am and going into the 70's today. What do they call this " Indian Summer"? I think that is the expression we used. I have nothing planned today, except a visit to you of course. I waiting to see when everyone changes the flowers from Christmas to winter. I don't want to jump the gun to fast. As my 2 friends down there say I'm the new guy, they have been doing this for years, and they have. Tomorrow morning is oil change time on the Van. With the car I was able to get it inside and work on it myself. The van is another story. I get it in but just barely walk around it. Too many tools and toolboxes. As you remember I sold 4 boxes, so i have the tools on the shelfs. That's a lot of weight on the walls. I have to go through them and sell the ones I will never use again. January 3rd, at 9:37 pm. Very painful days to remember from October 15th to January 7th. More painful for you but also for me. It was a rough 3 months and now no more pain for you. Me, I seem to be reliving every moment of everyday. It all seems like yesterday. oh well, I truly wish we had another 20 more years together. God had other plans, I guess. On another note, the roofer was at the place today, I guess they are getting quotes to fix the leaks. That would be nice. I'm not tired but going to lay down with the dog. He isn't behind me, which means he is already sleeping on my pillow. Boy what a life he has. Well, he doesn't have it that easy, he spends a lot of time trying to Humor me. Hi Sweetheart, It's January 2nd at 9:20 pm. Everything is starting to hurt really bad again. I felt so much better when I was lighter. so will try and lose some weight. I am the weight I was before you went into the hospital. I lost it all in 60 days and gained it all back in a year. So, it gives me something to concentrate on during the winter. Hello Mary, January 2nd at 7:54 am. 37 while walking Hunter going into the 60's today and the next 3 days. I'll take these temperatures anytime. I have the heat set on 72 but very really goes on. I was trying to find out what happened the other day when the doors to our Mausoleum were locked, but no one there to ask. I guess no burials for the holidays. They call this New Year's Day observed. For me it was go to work 2 jobs day. I didn't get too many days off and you were the same working at HD and the Racetrack. We did what we had to do. May my Love, January 1st, 2023, at 8:52 pm. Came down to see you today and had a nice visit. I went to BJS to renew our membership and that got all messed up, so member services gave me a phone number to call after 8 am tomorrow. It's unbelievable. Nothing is easy. It is still warm out, so Hunter and I sat on the front patio for a while. That's about it, I have a very dull life now. You were everything I ever needed. Now I'm just an old broken man. December 31st Saturday at 8:24 am. Very thick fog walking Hunter and warm at 54 degrees. It will stay in the high 50's to 60's until next Thursday. Today is New Year's Eve, I guess everyone is getting ready to bring the new year in.  We used to celebrate, but we stopped when Sal passed away. Then we moved here 2015 and that year we took the trip down to Rutherford to celebrate. The trip home at 2 in the morning with drunks and cops all over the place wasn't worth it.  We would have some wine and cheese and crackers and watch the ball go down together. It was always nice. This is the first New Year without you. Mary my Love. It's 10:33 pm on Friday December 30th. I went to the cemetery to visit you, but the Risen Christ was locked. I went to the office and there was a sign saying office is closed until Tuesday January 3rd. There were quite a few people trying to get in. I called my friend Joe and asked if he knew anything about. He said no but will be there tomorrow. He comes every other day. and has over an hour ride each way. I went back to the cemetery about 4:15 pm, I know the gates close at 5 pm and the doors were still locked. A lot of people were there at that time also. On the way out I stopped at the Saint Joseph building, and the doors were unlocked. The only thing I could figure is that the person that was supposed to open up forgot to unlock our building. That's the second time I missed seeing you, the first time was the snowstorm, and no one was allowed on the road. Hopefully everything will be alright tomorrow and then I will feel better. Good morning Mary, December 30th at 7:45 am. Today as every Friday marks another week apart. 51 to be exact and 357 days. Today is also the day that Cathy my Shepherd passed away but 4 years ago. Did you know that Hunter is the 8th dog that we had together. They were all like family and hard to say goodbye too. That's not counting my first dog that I brought home from Hackettstown when I was 12 years old.  That dog my mom kept when we got married. She wouldn't let him go. Well next week make one year. It just doesn't seem that long ago. That means I haven't down anything in 52 weeks except visit you, shop, and eat. You passed on the 7th of January and were put in the mausoleum on the 12th. After that date I have to figure out what I want and can do with the rest of my like. I have no clue. Well see you later when I visit Love you always. Husband Vinny

Mary my Sweetheart, Thursday December 29th at 9 :35 pm. I got somethings done today, but not much. Lots of trouble with the right ankle, I taught it was just the weather, but I guess it is just getting worse. I can't do too much about it, the doc said it's a year recovery. I guess it's time for my favorite saying, " It is what it is ".  Time to drop 20 pounds fast and hope it helps a little. That means I have to give up cake and donuts my feel-good food. Tomorrow I will be going to Shoprite, time to stock up on a couple of things. I think I will order a hero at the Italian pizza shop in that plaza. I haven't ordered anything out since you passed. Thursday December 29th at 7:49 am. Good morning Mary. Very little sleep again. Shut the tv off at 11:30 and woke up at 1:30 am. Then on and off until the alarm went off. I walked Hunter and was 28 degrees. But going to 52 today. As a matter of fact, from today until January 5th should be high 50 to 60 degrees. I get a chance to sit outside for a while. I could use one of those days and try and rake up the pine needles. We went through the trouble and expense of removing the 19 monster Pine trees and still get a fair amount when the wind blows a certain way. If you remember when we moved in we had almost 6 inches of pne needles out back, plus all the dog poop all over. It took me a couple of weeks to clear out the mess and used boxes of trash bags. It was funny, When the sprinkler guy came there was geysers in the back, what a mess, but we fixed that all up. Time for another cup of coffee, so will let you go. See you later on, Love Vinny

Mary my Love, another day ends. December 28th at 9:55 pm. No one was at the cemetery today, at least the time when I went. Today is Wednesday so New Year's Eve is Saturday. This is a painful time for me this year, last year it was terrible for both of us. I'm not going to talk about it, but I can remember every detail. Anyway, going to BJS tomorrow for a couple of things and Friday will be Hitting Shoprite for the rest of my list. Want to get there early and beat the senior buses. Wednesday December 28th at 8:11 am. a cold start for the morning, but warming up to the 50's for the rest of the week Good morning Sweetheart. The Grand Father clock keeps stopping, I am wondering if I should just cut it up or have it looked at. It's not something you can pack up and bring it in for repair, It's a service call. I'll have to think about it. I have laundry on and will have a light breakfast in a little bit. I took a look at one of Joe's houses. It's in the west and it is one of the units we were looking at with the big 2 car garage. We stayed away from it, the house has 400 square feet more than ours and double the taxes. You know the style, no front porch, the entrance is on the side of the house. We picked our model for the covered front porch, boy we certainly used that. We both loved sitting out there and looking at nature and the garden you planted. I miss those days badly. Hi Sweetheart, It's 10:50 pm on Tuesday December 27th. Another Year has gone by with Sal's death. I guess pretty soon I will be counting years with you also. I had a nice visit with you today and as I was coming out, I met my friend Joe. We exchanged information, phone numbers and address. I did a lot of running around today and at least got some things done. Tomorrow I will start to clean house again, don't want it to get like it was. It was really bad and a lot of work to clean it up. Tomorrow, I have laundry dusting and vacuum and wash the floors. I have to take something out of the freezer for dinner. It's Tuesday December 27th at 7:55 am Today is also the day that God took Sal home. It's 13 years, but this is the first year in his final resting place with you. So, when I visit you, I actually visit both of you.  He would have been 41 now. When I look back in my mind, I remember what he was and what he could have become. You know what I mean. I always said we aren't supposed bury our children. But God had other plans for him and you, I guess. At times life is so unfair, there are people in jails that murder and steal and do all sorts of things, they live forever on my dime. The Catholic church said God has a reason with everything he does, it doesn't mean I have to agree with him all the time. Don't mind me, just ranting away like I always do. Hello Sweetheart, writing late tonight. December 26 at 10:45 pm. Was sitting here on the computer and watching that show Britain's Got Talent. They were showing the best of the best. It wasn't live, but on YouTube. I must have watched a hundred performances. Just couldn't get away from it. It's the first time I got interested in anything since you were taken from me. I'm looking at the time and I still have to shower and shave. I went to see you today and no one was there. I know the regulars like me were there because they don't put the chairs back. Monday December 26th at 8:17 am. Mary my Love, my calendar said its Christmas day observed. Just means another day off with pay.  With my job, I was lucky to get Christmas day off. It is cold out there but will go near 60 by the end of the week, go figure. I have the portable radiator on in the garage and set on 70. I know it uses electric to heat the place, but rather dry off Hunter out there than in the living room. That's another place I have to clean, just dusty and I have to put somethings on the shelves to get the van in. I hate climbing on a ladder to clean the snow off the roof. If the car wash is open the van gets a bath. I still have to do an oil change on it. Out of coffee so will see you later, Love Vinny

Sweetheart, December 25th at 9:47 pm. The day is over for me anyway. Quiet and lonely. Alfredo called and set up a zoom meeting and was able to see everyone over Annettes House. It was nice to see everyone even though it was on the phone. I took a shower and cleaned up the kitchen and noticed that Terry called. I will try and call her tomorrow night, it's almost 10 pm now and she gets up real early for work. A very busy cemetery today both inside and outside. Christmas Day December 25th at 7:58 am. Cold walking Hunter at 12 degrees, it will go to 32 today and drop back down to 14 tonight. I saw that Ed text me so will shoot him a text later on and wish him a Merry Christmas. That's what everyone seems to do these days, just send a text. Nothing wrong with that it is easy and quick, I guess. This was Sal's favorite holiday, He loved Christmas and would save money and buy gifts for everyone, and he loved handing them out and watching everyone's reaction especially the kids. Someone sent me a song a while ago, it is called " Once upon a long time ago " It is actually a short clip by Jessie Goldberg. The first time I watched it my eyes got watery. It's about going back to our childhood the way it used to be. I sure wish you were here so we could Reminisce Together. Boy, I miss you, Mary! and I wish you a very Merry First Christmas in Heaven. Christmas Eve December 24th Saturday at 9:42 pm. I'm sitting here all alone, well not alone, Hunter is sleeping on the bed behind me. Mary my Love, December 23rd at 10:20 pm. Not tired at all have a lot on my mind. I did travel to City Hall today and they had a sign on the door closed today and Monday for the holidays. So, I decided to take the backroads to Hooper and visit you. When I got to water street, guess what it was flooded already. I made it through and had a long visit with you. My sister called and asked what I was doing for Christmas, I said was staying home with Hunter, and of course, will visit you. I bought 2 new frying pans to match the set that you picked out. I traveled to Neptune to buy them and returned one today. Couldn't get the glue off the cooking surface, they took it back and then went to Home Depot. All of the roads are white with salt. Home depot's parking lot was a skating ring. I went to get a backup thermal coupling for the boiler. I installed it last year around this time. I like to keep one in stock. Not going to bed yet but will say goodnight and I love You. Vinny 

Mary my Love. Today is Friday December 23rd at 7:43 am. It also makes 50 weeks 350 days since God took you. It's fairly warm this morning at 52 degrees, but it will rapidly drop to 8 tonight. Good morning Mary. It's December 22nd at 7:45 am. Today will be a rain event, talking an 1/2 inch during the day and over an inch at night. We just got that amount last week, the same scenario. Then rain Friday morning. It's better than snow, I guess. I have to do a little shopping today then will stop in and stay with you for a while. Wednesday December 21st at 8:58 pm. A long day. There was a surprisingly a large amount of people at the cemetery today. I have been there all times of the day, I guess it is the season to visit. Tomorrow I will start cleaning house a little, just would like to keep up with it. After the holidays I will try and paint. Or I might tackle the master bath, we never touched it. I hate that Beam me up Scotty 2 by 2 shower. Why would they do that in a senior development, doesn't make sense. We were going to do it, so now is the time. Tired, sow will say good night. Wednesday December 21st at 7:40 am, Cold this morning with a real feel of 18, but will warm for 2 days and drop again. Today the lady across the street comes home from the Rehab, I pray she does well. Tomorrow Hunter gets his Nexgard, popped up on my phone. Thank God for the calendar on my cell, without that who knows. We used to add our appointments on a calendar we place on the fridge. You also had a book that you logged it in. How things have changed. If the calendar got lost there wasn't any backup everything was lost, but if my phone broke, everything is backed up in multiply places. He is the Italian who married his wife the year I was born. 68 years together. He comes every other day now, has a long ride, it was nice talking to him. 9:26 pm on Monday December 19th. Had a nice visit with you today, they closed at 3 pm, maybe to repair roof leaks. I guess will see tomorrow. I finished the food shopping and bought a nice package of the thick pork chops. Now trying to remember how you made them. I also bought a package of olive oil brushed French bread. And toasted on a frying pan like you used to do. I kept out 2 pieces and made French bread pizza. I must say it was swell. The last 2 months and all of next month were very hard times for both of us. Having daily flashbacks of last year. I keep my body and mind busy well at least I try too. Went to Shoprite tonight at 8 pm and of course I forgot my list. I only forgot 4 items which I will pick up tomorrow. Hunter is due for his Rabies and some kind of booster next month. I made the appointment. for the 16th of January. Our Vet sends out enough reminders so you can't forget. Email, texts and messages from the app on my phone. Sunday December 18th at 7:53 am. Good morning Mary. Shut the TV off around 12 am and woke up and said time to walk the dog. I looked at the clock and it was 2:02 am. Another on and off sleepless night. Legs are really sore this morning and the back is burning. I have that bio-freeze stuff, maybe I can reach around and smear on my lower back. Just got a popup on yours and my phone, Pay the sewer bill. It is done, paid it a couple of days ago. We got another raise with the HOA Dues, they raised it from 90 a quarter in January of 2000, to 120 then shut down the club for 2 years for the Pandemic and now raised to 150 a quarter. Isn't that something. If I had the money, I would hire an account and have an Finacial audit done. Just got another reminder, the mausoleum closes at 3 pm tomorrow for who, knows they are not stating why. I see you a lot early than that, the early closing doesn't affect me. It will affect some who come after work every day.  I guess I'm like a lot of them down there, no real reason to visit every day but like too anyway. Good morning Mary, the sun is out today for a change. Saturday December 17th at 7:50 am. They were talking snow for Thursday and Friday, but the forecast changed to an inch and a half of rain. The Risin Christ will close at 3 pm Monday, so have to watch my timing. They don't state why, properly some Maintenace. I have to sort things out in the garage and put the scooter in the back of the van, want to be able to get it in the Garage when it snows. I need a step ladder to clean the top off. Besides when it's in the garage everyone calls to ask if I left town, or if I'm in the Hospital. They are so used to see it parked in the driveway. It is hard to get Half & half in pints, lately and I wind up tossing half a quart away because it turns. Too expense to toss. and hate going from store to store looking for it. Thursday December 15th at 8:04 am. Should be a rotten day with rain starting about 9 am. They say 1/2 inch today and over an inch overnight. Could very well been a snowstorm. Dearest Mary, Wednesday December 14th at 9:12 pm. Had a nice visit with you today, they took all the summer flowers out and put them upstairs on tables for the owners to take home. Our Christmas Flowers are in Place. They look nice. They are starting to put the Christmas Flowers on the stone holders. We don't have one yet but will when I decide what Pictures to put up. Have to do it all at one time. There is a charge to remove and put back the stone. All the lettering is done outside with a sand blaster I was told. I had the rest of the Shrimp and Knorr for dinner with help from our boy. He sits there and stares at me drooling in anticipation. December 14th at 7:58 am. Mary my Love, It's Thursday with a real feel of 19 while walking Hunter. The cold goes right through me. I guess as you age, you feel it more. I never had problem with the winters except for my hands, had that bad frostbite. We had bought the binder that held 400 DVD movies. I opened it and all of the pages ripped out of the binder. What garbage, guess where it was made. I ordered three smaller ones which I just got in and will put those in order. Gives me something to do. I have everything I write in Word and read it a couple of times; sorry it doesn't matter. It was a cold day and should be colder tomorrow. They were cutting grass today, actually just picking up the leaves. Tomorrow I will have to put the do not cut flags out one more time. Cil rang the doorbell and handed me a gift. She lost her husband years ago and told me it's not a merry Christmas for you but Merry Christmas from me and handed me a box of homemade Ricotia Cookies. I and Hunter ate them all. They were fantastic. She bakes something different every year. And you would bake something, and we would send it to her. I can't do that anymore. Tuesday December 12th at 7:48 am. A nice cool 25 walking Hunter. Wore my new Baxter coat from L.L.Bean and have to say the old one that I bought in 2007 is warmer. It has Down in it, the new one has this high tec China stuff in it. That's the way it is these days. This country is going down the rabbit hole as they say. I just hope the American people can hold up until this administration goes bye bye. Don't have too much to talk about, so will let you off easy for now, I will visit as always. Love Vinny

Hi Sweetheart, Monday the 12th at 10:11 pm. Long day for me. Hunter looks very handsome, Michele like always did a fantastic job. Everyone in our area loves him. One older lady calls him a chick magnet. I finished everything that had to be done at home for him to mess up right away, but that is to be expected. I took him out for a quickie and didn't blow out his paws, so dirt on the bed. I have to wash the cover tomorrow again. That is part of having a dog. Lynn said I'm like the mailman walking Hunter, you know the saying. Rain, snow, sleet and so on, and I told her that the mailman gets holidays, I don't. She had the dog run in the back for foul weather. I had a nice quiet visit with you today and went home after woods. Super quiet and lonely. I felt better after the call to pick him up. Having my coffee and then have to get the van ready for our boy's transport to the groomer. It's not a big deal, the seat folds down into the floor and his bed fits in there perfectly. Good morning, Mary, It's Monday December 12th at 7:48 am, I had my heavy coat on when walking Hunter, it was brisk but no wind and no rain for a change. I shut the TV off at 10:30 and woke up at 2 am like always. I can't figure that out yet. I still have the 4K Fire Stick and haven't opened the package yet. Maybe someday before it becomes obsolete. No interest in TV lately, don't know why, we used to watch tv together all the time. I guess it is no fun watching it alone. I have all the shows of Bull that we recorded, and we both looked forward to that series. Maybe someday I'll get to it. I was thinking about taking on a job, not for the money, just something to do. That's a pipe dream I work with my hands, and Doctor Butcher took care of that for me. I f you remember I was considered one of the best mechanics in NJ. No bragging just that is what I hear. I considered myself a little above average. To tell the truth I hated fixing cars, my love was for computers. I always had a couple downstairs burning has they say looking for the problem to show up. Now they are so cheap, it doesn't pay to fix them Just buy another. After I drop Hunter off, it becomes a big laundry down washing al of his beds and all the floors. My Angel Mary, just a bad day for me. Sunday December 11th at 9:05 pm. I emptied out your bathroom today, it was very hard to do. If I had hair, I could have used the bottles of shampoo and conditioner. I know that you requested that no one use your stuff so had to dump everything. Everything in there was you, and I just erased another part of you in our house. Like I told the women down the block from me who is still married for quite a while, it is like a giant blackboard, and you make a list, and every day you erase something. This January will be BJS, up for renewal and it is in both our names. By the time you're done the only thing left is pictures, memories. and a few pieces of clothing that I kept. It's so very sad. and emotional for me. I guess it is the end of another day. Hunter goes for his Groom tomorrow and can't forget to give him is motion sickness medication or there will be a mess to clean up.  I'm going to let you go, love you Sweetheart and Good Night. It's Sunday December 11th at 8:08 am. Cloudy with a little chill in the air. Should get some rain starting at 3 pm as per the app on my phone. I woke up with lots of pain, properly slept a little in the wrong position. Who knows, don't get old! By the time I got washed up and by the time Hunter too me out for my walk, I started to feel better. Now having my first cup of coffee, boy is it good. Do you know we still have a stove top coffee maker under the cabinet. Its a Farberware that we used for many years and looks like new. We kept it in case of a power outage. I haven't had the chance to put the boiler on a plug in cord, I will wait till the summer to do it. A power outage in the cold winter months I would simply plug it into the generator, The thermostat works on battery. Anyway out of coffee so will talk to you later when i Visit, Love Vinny

Hello Sweetheart, It's 8:40 pm on Saturday December10th. I was invited to the Tree dedication at Quinn-Hopping today as you know. I wasn't going to go at first when the Invite came in the mail. I waited to the last day and called to let them know I was coming. This morning I got up and was nervous, I haven't gone any place except to Annette's 70th Birthday Party. I was getting one of those attacks wear it was getting hard to catch my breath. I knew what it was and calmed myself down and went. I was first one there, you know me never late Vinny. I rang the doorbell and I guess i was the first one. I felt uncomfortable, but they told me to come in. and a couple of minutes later a few more people showed. They had beautiful ornaments to be signed and hung on the Christmas Tree. I asked if someone could write for me. If I did it no one would be able to read it. You know that. So, I very nice young lady stepped up and said she would help. I told her what i wanted to say and oh boy what a beautiful job she did for me I forgot to ask her name, she works there. I didn't know anyone that attended accept some of the people who helped me when I first went there last year. This was a very Beautiful event, I could go on and on about. I am so glad that I attended. I took a picture of Your dedication and will post it tomorrow. I wanted to take more pictures but felt Funny doing so. Mary my Love, a sunny cold start for Saturday December 12th at 8 am. I put up two pictures I took at the mausoleum where you are. It is of the Christmas scene they put together than downstairs in your section. It looks really nice. I hope they make it up. Having my second cup of coffee now, I had started to write a small piece, and hit the back button by accident. so, starting all over again. It takes me awhile to type with 2 fingers and constantly correcting my mistakes. I just checked and one picture made it up will try again later. Have to feed Hunter early today, have your Tree Dedication at the funeral home this morning. Don't want to be late. Talk to you later, Love Vinny

Mary my Love, It's Friday at 9:20 pm. Did a of lot of driving around today and had a nice visit with you also. I stopped at Wendys and ate our special lunch that we used to share. For dinner I had 2 very stale donuts sour cream form DD. I don't think that I will be returning there anytime soon. I just felt like donuts today. Good morning Sweetheart, It's Friday December 9th at 7:40am. A cool 33 degrees while walking Hunter. Today makes 48 weeks 336 days since God took you. Coming up on a year already. I know that I repeat myself every Friday, but the time is flying by quickly. I do long for Yesterday. Yesterday had everything I ever wanted in life accept our health wasn't the greatest, but we were working on that together. We had lots of plans you and I, now there is nothing. I mean I have plans, like a fresh coat of paint on the inside, and update at least 1 bathroom. Today is Shoprite, need dairy products and oatmeal, the one we always buy. No instant stuff in this house. We always liked the one that had to be cooked. I wonder how much that went up to. Well out of coffee and will have a light breakfast. Mary my Sweetheart, Thursday December 8th at 9:15 pm. I got some more done in the living room and still lots to go. It was a long day and I fell to sleep twice, about an hour each time. I went off my diet and gained a couple of pounds. Will start again tomorrow. I have to do the dinner dishes and put together the coffee pot for tomorrow. Then I will try to sleep. Good morning, Sweetheart. 8th of December already, Time is flying by fast. 7:55 am with a sunny sky. Today I hope to finish the living room, Way too much furniture in there. There was a couple of pieces that you wanted to get rid of, So I will post them for sale someplace. Hunter is due for his groom on Monday, thank God, he needs it badly. Other than that, it is just quiet. I do some driving around and then I hang around the house. I have to stop at Shoprite and pick up some half & half. It will be another boring lonely winter, too cold for sitting outside, and I don't really watch tv anymore. Anyway, going to make some breakfast and coffee, talk to you later my Love. Vinny

It is that time again. 9:30 pm on December 7th. It rained most of the day here, but I didn't see it in the forecast. I had a nice quiet visit with you today, it seems that if you get there after 1 pm it is less crowded.  They put two 7-foot Christmas trees on the top floor and added a box of funeral cards with normal pictures on the front but blank on the back Everyone writes what they want to say and hangs it on the trees. Downstairs where you are is a big nativity scene with a 16-foot Christmas tree all lit up. Tomorrow I will take pictures and post here.  It was very nicely done. Love you Mary and goodnight. Vinny

Good morning Mary my Angel. It's Wednesday December 7th at 7:38 am. Raining with a warm 57 to start the day. Today marks 11 months, 334 days without you. Top news Warnock Defeats Walker for the Senate, so the Dems control it at 51 to 49. I can't see the people voting for this bull polices of this White House. You know the points that most people collect with credit cards when making a purchase, you got it. They will be going after those too. You know the list very well. I will be down to visit you later on as always. Sorry not too much sleep again, I guess it is catching up on me.
