Michael "Mike" Santore, age 90, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Leisure Park facility in Lakewood, NJ. Mike was born on May 5, 1934 in Staten Island, NY as the son of Louise and Joseph Santore. He served in US Army. Mike was a former policeman for the New York City Police Department. He later worked a security consultant for the New York State Racing Association, and then as a diary accountant for the law firm Cravath Swaine and Moore. He was a lifelong resident of Staten Island, NY, before relocating to Toms River 20 years ago. He loved sports and played baseball for the US Army in Europe. He was an umpire on Staten Island for 19 years with Staten Island Softball Association, and he was a football statistician for the Staten Island Touch Tackle League. Mike enjoyed OTB and visiting Atlantic City. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Angela; two sons, Joseph and Steven. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. His funeral will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Committal Services will be private at a later date in the BG William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery.
