Michael R. Weltner, 21, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at the Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family after a courageous yearlong battle against cancer. Michael had a heart of gold. If he called you his friend, you had a brother for life. Free spirited, open minded, loving and forgiving are only a few of Mike's amazing qualities. Mike has captured so many hearts and changed many lives of those who knew him or followed his fight with cancer. Mike will be missed but live in our hearts forever. Fly high my beautiful angel.
Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Patricia Weltner. He is survived by his parents Michael and Cheryl Weltner, his sister Lisa Weltner, his maternal grandparents Charles and Jacqueline Andersch, three uncles, Scott Andersch, Eric Weltner and Robert Weltner and his wife Debbie, his cousins, Eric, Jenn, Ryan and Brianna and his extended BlackHawk Hockey family.
