

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he settled in Toms River 42 years ago.
After studying at Drexel University, Bill became an architect and worked for Kling Associates in Philadelphia and later worked at and retired from Prudential in Newark. He was very proud of his career and maintained his license for his entire life. Bill loved golf, life, music, and bourbon (not necessarily in that order), but more than anything, Bill loved and cherished his time with his children.
Bill was predeceased by his grandfather, Murdoch William McKinnon I; his parents: Murdoch William McKinnon II and Louise Augusta Schmitt; and his sisters: Joan Albert, Betty Blattner, and Jean Parish.
Surviving are his children: Diane Hamilton and her husband Dennis, Denise McArthur and her fiancé Wade Dent, Debby Bonnell and her husband Wayne, Murdoch William McKinnon IV and his wife Christina, Michael McKinnon, and Donna McKinnon; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 11am-2pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A brief tribute will commence at 1:30 pm. Cremation will be private. For more information, or to post a tribute online, please visit www.quinn-hoppingfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, or Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
