

Nick Grano died Friday, January 16, 2026 at his senior living home in Monroe NJ. He was 100 years old.
Born in Union City , he resided in Hudson County before settling in Holiday City about 40 years ago.
Nick proudly served in the US Army as an infantryman during World War II from 1943 - 1945. Nick was a TV repairman and had his own shop in Union City for 20 years. He then became a locksmith working in Ocean and Monmouth counties until he retired.
Always joking around and being silly was his thing. He loved working with his hands and making all kinds of things from wood. His specialty was making birdhouses. They were his pride and joy, of which he gave to family and friends. He also had a love and passion for singing Frank Sinatra tunes to his loved ones.
He was predeceased by his wife, Grace Grano and son Steven Grano and all 7 of his siblings. Michael and Gape Magno, Paul, Joseph and Frank Grano and Mary Ciminnisi and Katherine Salandra.
Surviving are his sons Carl and his wife Dianna, his daughter in law Patricia and John and his wife Marie. He had 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Christine, Nicole, Steven Jr., Melissa, Jennifer, and Gina. He also had 10 great grandchildren Joseph, Jared, Ethan, Andrew, Caleb, Daniel, Hannah, Henry, Cora and Dominick.
A memorial visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 on April 10, 2026 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 am. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
