

Nicholas (Nick) resided in Glendora, NJ, but was raised in Belleville, NJ, where he was a graduate of Belleville High School. He was predeceased by his cherished parents, Jerome Moccia and Joanne Buscarini. His beloved stepfather, Daniel Buscarini, continues to reside in Toms River, NJ.
Nick was a gifted singer and songwriter, who made a lasting impact on the music scene along the East Coast. As the dynamic frontman of three bands – Under Pressure, Jungle Boogie, and Generation Next – he enthralled audiences with his soulful voice and magnetic stage presence. More recently, Nick pursued a solo career, showcasing his musical talents in more intimate settings. His ability to forge deep connections with his audience made him a captivating performer, beloved by fans who became friends, and respected by peers in the music industry.
Nick's passion for storytelling transcended music, leading him into the realm of literary fiction. In 2013, he co-authored the novel They All Fall Down with his best friend of 25 years, Jennifer Blake. The novel earned an Indie Brag Reader’s Choice Award and was featured in Forbes magazine and on CBS 3. To complement the novel, Nick wrote and produced a compilation of music, showcasing his multifaceted talent and creativity.
Those who knew Nick will remember him for his infectious smile, warm bear hugs, kind generosity, great sense of humor, and unrelenting resilience. He had a rare gift for making others feel special, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. He found joy in the beauty of nature, in the sweet purrs of his cat Bailey, and in time spent with his family and friends. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants, a passion he shared with his mother Joanne, and the WWE.
Nick is survived by his dear stepfather, Daniel Buscarini, and his stepsister Danielle Verticchio. He also leaves behind his cherished nephew, Joe, his beloved niece, Gia, and many cousins and close friends who will forever remember him fondly.
Family and friends may join a celebration of Nick's life on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ. A memorial service will begin promptly at 1:00 pm.
