Oliver A. Vargas

Ollie was born on September 3, 1954 in the Philippines to Conrado and Adelida Vargas. He graduated from Arellano University with a bachelors of science in nursing. He first came to the United States in 1978 as a registered nurse. He lived in many cities such as Eastland, Odessa, and Anaheim, before settling in Toms River, New Jersey with his wife and daughter to be closer to his family. He worked at Community Medical Center- Emergency Department for 22 years and retired as the Assistant Director of Emergency Department in 2018.

Ollie loved music! He enjoyed playing piano and singing along to his favorite OPM songs. He was a great conversationalist and was always quick to make others smile and laugh. He was also a devoted Christian and a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ).

Ollie is survived by his wife, Nora, and daughter, Jena; 2 brothers, Homer and wife Carol, Jun and wife Lulu; and sister, Aida.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4pm- 8pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, followed by interment on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10am at Ocean County Memorial Park.
