Robert J DeSerio

Robert was born on February 13, 1942 in Hackensack, NJ, the son of Frank De Serio and Guiseppina Pessolano. He was raised in a large, wonderful, loving family, in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

Robert graduated from Lyndhurst High School in 1960, then went on to college.

He joined the US Army Branch of the Military and served until honorably discharged.

Robert married Pamela T. Rink on June 24, 1967 and was married for 13 years. Robert and Pam had two sons Robert and Erick Deserio

In 1984, Robert married Marie Elaine Pardey. They enjoyed traveling around the world. They had beautiful homes in Bloomfield, Manahawkin NJ and Marco Island, Florida.

Robert’s entire career was dedicated to package engineering. He worked for companies including, Remco Toys, Playtex, American Cyanamid, Red Devil and American Standard.

Robert always loved to cook and entertain, with parties and family reunions. He especially loved spending time with his 2 grandchildren, Connor and Lillian Pardey.

Robert is survived by his 2 sons - Robert, Erick and his former wife Donna, stepson Patrick Pardey and his former wife Christine, grandchildren Connor and Lillian Pardey, his sister-in-law, Joann De Serio, and all of his loving nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death are wife Marie, his parents, 5 brothers - Vincent, Nicholas, Victor, Anthony, his twin brother Frank and his 4 sisters - Ann, Mary, and twins Melina and Josephine.

Robert will be deeply missed. His legacy of loving life, family and spreading joy will be cherished and remembered forever. Robert will be deeply missed by all of the lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept 28 2025, from 2pm to 5pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home. 26 Mule Rd. Toms River NJ. 08755. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 PM.
