Robert G. Morieko, 79, of Berkeley Twp., died at home on Sunday February 26, 2012. Born in Jersey City, he lived in New Tripoli, PA for 25 years prior to moving to Holiday City South in 1998. Robert was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for Stroh’s Brewery in Allentown PA. He was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RCC Toms River, NJ.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine “Joy” Grieco Morieko; a son Robert Morieko; a daughter Michele and her husband Dale Wessner; four grandchildren; Jenna, Jared, Toni Lynn and Kelly. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday February 29th from 4 to 7 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 1st at 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center 99 Rt. 37 West Toms River, NJ 08755.
