Surviving are her daughter, Andrea Guenzel and her husband Hans. Her beloved grandchildren Hunter and Krista. Her big brother Julius Chmielewski and his wife Sue. Her sister Beverly and husband Anthony Marchetti. Also surviving are her many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she took great joy in and her cat Louie.
Sandy and her siblings had a special bond. They lost their father at a young age and carried this bond throughout their lives. It was special to see. Sandy loved spending time with her grand kids and going to their sporting events and celebrating all their miles stones.
She also had lifelong friends who supported her through thick and thin and were truly valued. Her stories about her group of senior friends in her community were the best. What a fun group to be part of with their high teas, fun costumes, and wonderful parties, and high jinx they made her life complete and one could not ask for a better group of people to spend your senior years with.
One of her most treasured rituals for the last 10 years, Sandy and her sister enjoyed “Sisters Week”, the 2nd week of September, in Cape May, NJ. They always had such great weather, both loved the beach. Each year they would try a new restaurant or two for dinner, but always go to their favorites. A memory ornament was purchased every year, celebrating their time in Cape May. At the end of each day they would sit on the porch rockers & listen to the ocean & plan out the next day. They both looked forward to that week every year. Even though Sandy won’t be there in body, her sister hopes she visits her in spirit. The beach was a special place for her, it made her feel close to her dad when she was there.
Sandra has joined her parents Julius and Loretta Chmielewski, her husband Chester R. Zuczek, her beloved cousin Elaine Hartpence Guss and other aunts and uncles.
Join those who went before you and watch over those you left behind.
